St. Anthony's Tri, MS150 and Hard Lessons Learned

Sorry about the delay in posting, but as the Title says..... Too Many things to do.

Well, the St. Anthony's Tri came and went. This was the one I was pointing to and everything went wrong. I got a hamstring pull about a month before and couldn't run for a month before and I really hadn't run much before that, planning to put in the miles the last 5-6 weeks (BAD!!!! Plan). I walked around most of the day before watch Max run in the Meek N Mighty sprint tri. Bad weather caused them to cancel the swim and I had really trained for that. I had worked up to my goal of the 1500M in 35min.
The bike ride was good but I just didn't feel quite on, even my training partner said I didn't look good on the bike, I did average 19Mph but should have done 20+.
Then the run?? started, I had quad cramps at the 1mi. mark and could not shake them and ended up walking most of the 10K. Finished, but don't really feel like I did anything to mention as an accomplishment.

Then I headed to Ashville, NC for work on a Sunday, caught something on the flight up and really started to feel bad when I got back Thursday and was on my back Monday and should have been on Tuesday.
THEN ..... I had the MS150 on Saturday & Sunday. As a result of feeling bad I got some heat exhaustion and had to sit for an hour at the 70 mile mark, but finished the 100 Saturday (less 10 miles the EMS rule made me ride the sag as their procedure if you are looked at by them). Then rode with some other teammates from Lakeland Landsharks at a slower pace and supported them for the Sunday 50.

Learned a valuable lesson about myself. LESS Electrolyte drink (Cytomax) and more pure WATER!!!!

Also broke a spoke on Saturday on my rear Neuvation wheels, no one had any to fit so I finished Sat. without it. Then broke another on Sunday, still no one with a spoke to fit, but Kyle's Bike Shop of Orlando was on support and trued the wheel as perfect as I have seen one done on a supported ride. http://www.kylesbikeshop.net/index.html If you need support in the Orlando area stop by and give him a chance. I'm a hour from him but I plan to stop by and support him from time to time.

Have decide if I'm going to do these Triathlons, I HAVE TO STOP HATING RUNNING.
I plan to contact a trainer and see if She can help with training plans that I can enjoy then progress.
